Lamb Meatballs

Lamb meatballs are a great way to add some variety to your proteins. They have a distinctive flavor that sets them apart from traditional beef or pork meatballs. Pair it with a small portion is rice and salad and you have a high protein low carb meal ready.

Ingredients
  

Base

  • 2 pound ground lamb
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 1/4 bunch parsley finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter

Spice Mix

  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper according to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, mint, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  • Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the lamb meatballs and cook for 5-6 minutes until browned on all sides.
  • Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking the meatballs for an additional 8-10 minutes2 until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  • Serve the lamb meatballs hot, with a side rice, simple salad, and yogurt sauce.
