Ingredients
  

Base

  • 1 rack Baby back ribs about 3 pounds
  • 1/4 cup barbeque sauce I prefer sweet baby rays

Spice Mix

  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Start with pat drying the ribs and removing the membrane and placing the ribs on aluminum foil that is big enough to wrap up the ribs later.
  • In a bowl, mix all the dry spices together. Adjust the level of paprika, and pepper according to your taste.
  • Starting with bone side up, gently sprinkle and pat down the spice rub. Make sure all the edges and corners are covered. Flip and repeat the process.
  • Wrap the ribs in foil, with an additional layer to prevent juices from escaping. Let the ribs marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Place them bone side down in the oven at 300F for 3 hours. After an hour and a half, flip them upside down so that the meat is able to soak up all the juices and become extra tender.
  • Once the ribs are cooked, carefully unwrap them and brush BBQ sauce on the meat side. Then, broil the ribs for 3-4 minutes with the meat side up and foil open.
  • Adjust the BBQ sauce to your desired level of flavor, and serve the ribs with a side of vegetables and mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
