Start with pat drying the ribs and removing the membrane and placing the ribs on aluminum foil that is big enough to wrap up the ribs later.
In a bowl, mix all the dry spices together. Adjust the level of paprika, and pepper according to your taste.
Starting with bone side up, gently sprinkle and pat down the spice rub. Make sure all the edges and corners are covered. Flip and repeat the process.
Wrap the ribs in foil, with an additional layer to prevent juices from escaping. Let the ribs marinate for 30 minutes.
Place them bone side down in the oven at 300F for 3 hours. After an hour and a half, flip them upside down so that the meat is able to soak up all the juices and become extra tender.
Once the ribs are cooked, carefully unwrap them and brush BBQ sauce on the meat side. Then, broil the ribs for 3-4 minutes with the meat side up and foil open.
Adjust the BBQ sauce to your desired level of flavor, and serve the ribs with a side of vegetables and mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
